Karen Cotton is the author/illustrator of two children’s picture books. Vedauwoo: Hidden Faces in Mysterious Places and K-9 & Deputy Heroes of the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department. She is an entertainment and features reporter/editor.

She owns Sweetascottoncandy.com,an online entertainment magazine. She worked for the Wyoming Tribune Eagle for 12 years as a reporter. She’s received three grants from the Wyoming Arts Council. She is an NEA Fellowship recipient and an award winning photographer. Proceeds of the K-9 & Deputy Heroes book go toward the K-9 Unit Program of the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department. She’s completed two more books that are waiting for publication.
