About Beckie Butcher (Chicago, Illinois Author)

I was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois and am a 1982 graduate of Elgin High School. I worked in various hospitals and laboratories as a Medical Laboratory Technician before I was stricken with the serious but seriously misunderstood disease Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I shared my experiences with the disabling disease in a short book entitled, "My Battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome." It is my mission to spread awareness as well as build tolerance for this disease as many don't believe it is real. A screen play is currently being written for film adaptation for my story.
