Kay Kendall

Kay Kendall is the CEO and principal in BaldrigeCoach. She spent more than 20 years as a quality executive leading large-scale change initiatives across diverse industries – aerospace, semiconductor automation equipment, computers and storage devices, and pharmaceuticals. She completed a five-year assignment as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt in 2009 when she joined BaldrigeCoach. She also has extensive experience implementing the Balanced Scorecard, Hoshin Kanri, and benchmarking to deliver results. She currently works with organizations, coaching them on their journey toward Performance Excellence.

From 2002 through 2005, Kay served on the Panel of Judges for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program after serving as an Examiner and Senior Examiner for the Program for six years. She continues to serve as an Alumni for the program. Kay served 4 years as a Master Examiner and Team Leader for the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award Program. She served as a Judge for the California Award for Performance Excellence for 5 years, the Robert W. Carey Award for 7 years, and is in her fifth year as a Judge for Partners in Performance Excellence, the Baldrige-based regional program serving New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Kay has facilitated examiner training for the Baldrige Program since 1998, as well as for other Baldrige-based programs. Kay also served 5 years as a Director-at-Large for the Alliance.

Kay is a frequently invited speaker at international conferences on a variety of topics, including change leadership. She also has facilitated workshops with audiences in the several hundreds and has guided organizations in their strategic planning processes.

Glenn Bodinson, FACHE, founded BaldrigeCoach in 1989 to help organizations become more productive, profitable, and fun places to work by harnessing the power of performance excellence. Glenn is on the Advisory Board of the Methodist Dallas hospital and a member of the Methodist Health System Corporate Quality Committee. BaldrigeCoach helped Methodist Health System win the Texas Award for Performance Excellence in 2015, the highest level award given by the program.

Glenn served as the Vice President of the Hogan Center for Performance Excellence where he developed and delivered the curricula for its two-year transformation program. Graduates of this program include Baldrige recipients Branch Smith Printing, Park Place Lexus, Karlee, Texas Nameplate, and Marlow Industries.

Glenn’s experience includes service as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner in 1992, 1993, 2012, 2013, and 2014, and Senior Examiner and Team Leader in 2015 and 2016. He served as a Texas Quality Award Judge from 1994 to 1999, and as a Shingo Prize Examiner from 2000 to 2015 and Team Leader in 2016. He served six years as a Judge for the Robert W. Carey Award Program and served five years as a Master Examiner and Team Leader for the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award. He also is serving his fifth year as a National Director on the Board of The Alliance, the consortium of Baldrige-based State and Local Programs.

Glenn is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, (FACHE), and a Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).
