Justi the Gifted
In this epic fantasy tale, Justi, a simple peasant boy, wants a normal life. But he received the Sense of Justice from Li, the Spirit of Order, and struggles to know its purpose. Dar, the Spirit of Chaos, scatters the gift’s components of power, mercy, and faith to leave Justi with uncontrolled heat and light that eventually kills. The untempered power threatens Dar’s minions and must be stopped—by an assassin. The teenage Justi flees and meets Mercerio, exiled heir to the Zellish throne who owns the mercy component of the gift. Their liaison is foretold in prophecy, and dark spirits work to thwart it, driving them apart. Only when Mercerio is in danger can he admit his love and use his power to help drive invading forces from his homeland. Justi ousts the barbarians, but faces his greatest fear—he harms an innocent. More than ever Justi must find a way to unite his power with Mercerio’s and restore Li’s gift.
