Henry Goes Fishing

Henry Goes Fishing is the story of Henry, an impatient boy who wants to have the things he wants now. At the top of Henry’s wish list is a pet. He tries to lure many pets into his life, but even his best-laid plans do not work out. His mother even tells him that he is not ready to have a pet because she does not believe that he is ready to take care of one. Then, one day, while fishing with his grandfather, Henry’s life takes a wonderful, unexpected change, and that is when he begins to learn the virtue of being patient.

About Kathy Smart (South Bend, Indiana Author)

Kathy Smart

I reside in northern Indiana, where my time is divided between working full time in a large summer camp program for children, and part time on creative writing projects.

As a running enthusiast, my writing is often inspired by the many interesting sites I see along the way. There is nothing like mile after mile of a beautiful country road to spark the curiosity of a writer.

My books are written around life lessons that send a positive message for children. I believe that every child has a gift to offer the world, and putting a book in the hands of a child will help develop that creativity.

I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
