"Eagle Island Admiral Peary's Harpswell Home" is part of the Images of America series offered by Arcadia Publishing. Published in 2017, this book shows how an island in Casco Bay, Maine captured the imagination of a young man and eventually became a National Historic Landmark.

Capturing the magic of Eagle Island required years of research, interviews, and the collection of photographs and visual images by The Friends of Peary's Eagle Island (FOPEI). This effort was led by Elizabeth O'Connell and Stephen Harding, with support from the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands.

This book continues to be a resource for the preservation and restoration of Eagle Island by providing original photos of how the island once was.
