Life is supposed to get easier the older you get, right?

After a life of world travel and jujitsu competitions, retired museum curator, Dorothy Claes, is ready for a quiet life. Despite the rambunctious antics of her feline companion, Solomon, taking over the antique shop her late-father willed to her seems like the perfect way to settle into retirement.

But when a mysterious stranger comes to call, spinning tales of magical artifacts and the organization in charge of them, life becomes anything but quiet. To discover the truth surrounding her father’s not-so natural death, Dorothy finds herself recruited into the organization her father had secretly been part of, The Silver Foxes.

With Solomon in tow, Dorothy heads out on her first mission: discover, obtain and neutralize the artifact that is causing pedigree cats in Paris to disappear and their owners’ memories to be wiped before it ends up in the hands of someone far more sinister.

A unique paranormal cozy mystery, Dorothy Claes and the Prison of Thenemi is the first book in the brand-new Silver Fox Mysteries series. C.P. Morgan integrates spies with the myth and lore of cats from around the world. Readers of all ages will be kept on the edge of their seats until the end.

About Cassandra Morgan (Toledo, Ohio Author)

Cassandra Morgan

Cassandra Morgan is the author of the young adult fantasy series, Chartile, the first book in the series being Prophecy. She is an advocate for helping teen writers and educating about the self-publishing journey. Cassie comes from a family of writers and English majors, and began creating stories before she could even write. She would force her cousins and siblings to act our plays she had created for the entertainment of her family—mainly her grandmother, from whom she gets most of her writing talent.

The idea for Chartile began when Cassandra was in middle school stemming from the games she played with her friends in the woods behind her house. In 2012, after she just couldn’t get the story to stop nagging at her, Cassie finally decided to put her nose to the grindstone, and pen it all out. Before writing Chartile, Cassandra worked in the animal industry for nearly 10 years where she specialized in feline behavior and feline nutrition. She has worked for a veterinary hospital, groomer, pet store, and canine boarding and training facility. Cassie has 5 cats, one of which is a registered therapy cat and shows in TICA in the Household Pet category. Cassandra enjoys acting in small, indie film productions, and working as an assistant producer. Her team won the 48 Hour Detroit Film Project’s Best Comedy award. She also enjoys historical reenactment with The SCA, which has been a tremendous help when researching topics for her books. Cassie enjoys volunteering with a number of rescue groups in her area, caring for orphaned kittens, and volunteering with the local wildlife rehabilitation center.
